Domain Clearout

I have an ever growing list of domain names, some are for personal use, some for various societies I am part of, some for family members and others for clients. I have started sifting through them to see which ones are in use and which I can get rid of. Some I got for projects I had planned to do, however for vaying reasons, time, they have not happened. Other sites are ones I registered for clients who have either found another domain name or have simply failed to do anything.  Anyway, so far the list of domains I have on offer include:

There will be more added as I go through the list. Out of interest I thought it would be interesting just to look back at what I had planned to do with them. Note those for my clients, I will not document but may suggest ideas.

Digital SLR

I had the idea of creating an online forum, community group, style site for users of Digital SLR cameras, hence digital-slr.net. The idea came about as being a DSLR user myself I could find many other sites, but none that had everything I wanted. That is a forum, photo uploads, a way to promote and sell your work. A great idea, I simply have not had time to do anything about it and hence decided to pass the name on, unless I suddenly get some time.

Newbury Online

A few years ago I created, for Thatcham Vision, Thatcham Online and a year ago I took over all but the Vision section. The forerunner to this site was Virtual Thatcham and at that point hosted only the Vision details. I became apparent early on there was a need for a community website and hence it eveolved into Thatcham Online. This has news, events and a business directory for Thatcham. I had the idea of doing the same for Newbury, that is Newbury Online. So far I have not had the time to do so. I would like to think I may get the time to do it at some point!

Nick Young Web Development (or Design)

When I set-up DevZen it was actually going to be called Nick Young Web Development, hence nywd.co.uk. However I decided against that as I was, and still am, offering other services such as training, consultancy and document generation.

Web Designer

The webdsgnr.net name was purchased with the intent of creating a community group for web designers (and developers) so they could share ideas, suggestions and help each other out. Again lack of time means I doubt I will get to do anything with this.
