Book Review: The Hobbit
There are few people around today that will o of heard of "The Hobbit", first published in 1937, or of its author, J.R.R.Tolkien. The story is set in a fantasy world known as "Middle Earth", a place inhabited by Dwarfs, Elves, Orcs, Goblins and Dragons. The main character, a Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, enjoys a quiet and simple life as most Hobbits do. That is until a band of Dwarfs, and a wizard named Gandalf, arrive and enlist his services. They travel together to raid the hoard of treasure from a Dragon. This book has a wide appeal to audiences of all ages. An instant hit when first released and still has not lost any of its fascination or appeal.
